Dumpster Rules — What You Need to Know Before Loading
To keep your rental safe and your project on budget, please follow these guidelines when loading your dumpster. We inspect every load at the disposal facility.
Items NOT Allowed in Standard Dumpsters
- Concrete, brick, asphalt, stone, gravel, dirt, or rocks
- Shingles (unless pre-approved — dedicated shingle dumpster required, $475)
- Lathe and plaster
- Car or truck tires (pre-disclosure required — $15 per tire fee applies)
- Refrigerators, freezers, or air conditioners with refrigerant
- Hazardous materials — paint, gasoline, oil, chemicals, solvents, liquids
If restricted items are found in the dumpster at the disposal facility, additional charges will apply. Photos may be taken as documentation. Hiding restricted items at the bottom of the load does not prevent them from being discovered.
Do Not Overfill the Dumpster
The dumpster must be filled level with the top rim. Nothing can extend above the rim or hang over the sides. Overfilled dumpsters cannot be legally transported and may not be removable from your property until debris is removed down to the fill line.
Important
Alpha Team KC is not responsible for items stacked above the rim. If we attempt removal and overfill materials fall off, those items may be left on site. This includes materials placed on top of your dumpster by neighbors or others.
Rental Period and Pickup
Standard rental periods are 1, 3, 7, or 14 days depending on the dumpster size and agreed terms — confirmed at time of ordering. Extensions are available at $150 per week for most sizes.
We Do Not Auto-Pickup
We will not automatically remove the dumpster on the last day. Call or text us at 816-759-2881 when you are done and we will schedule pickup. We reserve the right to pick up at any time on or after the final rental day without additional notice.
Pickup may occasionally be delayed due to weather, route availability, or scheduling. You will not be billed for extra days unless we discuss it with you first.
