No Concrete, Dirt, Gravel, Brick or Rock Allowed
One of the most important dumpster rental rules involves heavy materials. Concrete, brick, dirt, gravel, rock, and similar materials are extremely heavy. Just one cubic yard of these materials can weigh approximately 2,000 pounds.
If a standard roll-off dumpster is filled with these materials, it could weigh as much as 20 tons. Most roll-off trucks are only designed to safely transport a fraction of that weight. Federal and state transportation laws limit how much weight commercial vehicles can carry, and Department of Transportation inspectors regularly conduct roadside inspections to enforce these regulations.

Keep Debris Level With The Top Of The Dumpster
When your dumpster is loaded onto our truck, it travels up a steep angle as it is pulled onto the rails. Any material sticking above the top can fall backward during the loading process and land on your driveway or property.
Once the dumpster is loaded onto the truck, it sits more than 10 feet above the ground. At that point, it is often impossible to safely reload material that has fallen out.
In addition, transportation regulations prohibit commercial vehicles from hauling dumpsters with debris extending above the top rails. These laws help prevent items from falling onto roadways and creating hazards for other drivers.
No Paint, Chemicals or Hazardous Waste
Paint, solvents, chemicals, pesticides, oils, fuels, and other hazardous materials are not permitted in roll-off dumpsters. These items require special handling and disposal procedures to comply with environmental regulations.
